Kitchen Accessories
No kitchen is complete without accessories. These could be anything from cups to plates, lights to door knobs and all in between.
If you think about a kitchen you see items on the tops like the kettle and the toaster or a microwave some tea, coffee, and sugar jugs. These are the most obvious accessories because they are on show in most kitchens. Then you may have pots and pans hanging on the wall and soup spoons and wooden spoons hanging or presented in a nice jar that matches your kitchen.
There others too, here is a list of some of the more popular items you might find on show about the kitchen.

So when you look at the list you see every day items many of which you have in your own kitchen. They serve a purpose to us while we go about our daily cooking routines and we take them for granted to a level and its only when the dish washer appears to of eaten them do we truly appreciate their relationship with us.
So, if the above statement is true, why do we get them to match the kitchen they live in? Look around your kitchen; do you see utensils or accessories?
If most of these items are supposed to help us why do they have to mach? Are we to assume that when apes began to use big stones to crack open a nut, we evolved to a point of the stone must match the area we keep it in. Of course we did, the things around the kitchen have to do the job they were intended for, but I’d say that they also play a part in the whole look. We have a relationship that goes beyond being useful, we actually like them.
So, when you need something to stir with or chop with, will you go for good at its job or, looks great? |
